Dear Delegates,
Welcome to BEIMUN! My name is Jack Lee, a junior at Singapore American School, and I am honored to serve as your President for the International Court of Justice. With extensive experience chairing, delegating, and serving on the secretariat team at other conferences, I hope to foster a welcoming and exciting debate for you all. I find extreme passion in ICJ, and I hope that, through our time together, you can enjoy it as well. Nevertheless, the topics to be debated are extensive. and I'm so excited to see what you all come up with.
That being said, I look forward to meeting you all in January, and if you have any questions, feel free to email me!

Khari Randolph is a junior at Singapore American School, and is serving as Deputy President of the International Court of Justice. He has been in MUN for one year, and has participated in six total conferences, both inside and outside of Singapore, and this will be my first time chairing.
The case that I focused on is Russia v Ukraine, a case that is focused on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and whether Russia has a legal basis under international law to invade Ukraine. Each side is tasked with successfully convincing the judges that its argument is correct. As a previous ICJ advocate, I encourage advocates to work closely with your partner and witnesses to build a cohesive case, and make sure that the evidence presented is strong and relevant. For the judges, it is important to keep impartiality in mind and make sure that witnesses are questioned on the facts of the case and how and why they are testifying for their respective sides.
I’m looking forward to the conference, and I’ll see you there!
