Seungwoo Oh
President
Hello delegates, this is Seungwoo Oh, who will be serving as the President of the Environmental Committee. To briefly introduce myself, I am from Seoul International School and I am a senior. I am a climate enthusiast as I am really interested in keeping attention and coming up with ideas to promote environmental sustainability in the community we live in. For your information, I have presented in front of 200 UN intergovernment officials at Incheon in UNDESA to address the issue of textile mountains driven by fast fashion, with my current idea being implemented in the format of a website. Given that this is my 4th year in Model United Nations, with my serving as the Assistant Secretary General of Yale Model United Nations Korea XIII (YMUNK XIII), I am more than welcome to assist delegates of their aspiring journey in improving their aptitudes in diplomacy and debate. All delegates need to note that the Enviro Committee of BEIMUN is not just for simply discussing solutions, but performing above and beyond that through negotiation of implementative measures that can alleviate the issue of the climate crisis, I look forward to supporting you with the uttermost respect and confidence as the President Chair, so please feel free to reach out if you hav any questions regarding the debate procedure or the agenda prior to the conference. I look forward to hearing all of your amazing sentiments and words regarding the two crucial issues from the given agenda, such that I hope this serves as an opportunity for not just delegates, but also for myself to grow as a MUNer.

Hi everyone! I'm Jenna Lee and am currently a junior at Singapore American School in my 5th year of MUN participation. Upon chairing, delegating, and being part of the Secretariat Team in various conferences, I’m honored to serve as Deputy President in ENV for the duration of BEIMUN. Having begun MUN as a mere 7th grader, I hope to incentivize aspiring delegates to gain confidence in their debating skills and to bolster the speaking abilities of already advanced delegates. The ENV committee is an important learning opportunity to discuss a variety of climate-related issues, especially considering that its range of topics to be discussed are expansive. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and assisting in cultivating your passion for MUN!

Deputy President
Distinguished delegates,
Welcome to BEIMUN XXXIII! I am Crystal Ra, a junior at the International School of Tianjin, and I am honored to serve as your Chair for the Environmental Commission. I view chairing not simply as managing debate, but as a moral responsibility that reflects this year’s theme, Virtue Attracts Resonance. True authority in diplomacy arises from integrity, not titles, and my goal is to foster a committee where fairness, respect, and honesty guide every exchange.
This year, our focus on the environmental impacts of artificial intelligence demands both precision and ethical awareness. The issues before us require delegates who are willing to think critically, question assumptions, and ground their arguments in both scientific understanding and moral clarity.
I look forward to supporting you as you bring your ideas forward with confidence. May our work resonate with the values that define BEIMUN and demonstrate the power of principled leadership in action.
