Vanessa Chen

Deputy President

Hello delegates and welcome to BEIMUN Jr.! I'm Vanessa Chen, and I’m attending year 11 at Dulwich College Beijing. your deputy chair for the first General Assembly this time around. Now, I’ll be honest. I haven’t racked up a massive list of MUN conferences or fancy chairing titles (yet). But what I do bring is a whole lot of heart, energy, and a genuine love for what MUN stands for: bold ideas, passionate voices, and moments that stick with you long after the gavel falls. This space is yours just as much as anyone else's. Whether you’re firing off your 10th speech or nervously raising your placard for the first time, know this: your voice matters. So let’s make this something special. Challenge each other. Laugh a little. Learn a lot. And above all, have fun with it. I can't wait to see the creativity and conviction you all bring to the table.

Hello delegates! My name is Anitra Coelho and I am honoured to be serving as the President for the Human Rights Council for BEIMUN Jr. III. I am currently a Year 11 student attending Dulwich College Beijing, and this iteration of BEIMUN Jr. marks my 15th conference and 8th as a chair. From the moment my MUN journey began, it has been an incredibly memorable experience filled with increasing amounts of debate, dialogue and diplomacy. Model UN holds a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons, but especially because it unifies countries and delegates under one common goal- to foster a better future for every citizen of the world, which is what I hope each and every one of you will keep in mind throughout our committee sessions! For this conference, I will be specializing in the issue regarding organ trafficking in Southeast Asia- a persistent problem since the 1980s that has put the lives of many individuals at risk, but I am confident in your abilities to approach this concern with innovative solutions. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me, and I look forward to seeing all of you in October!
Avery Hung

Avery Hung

Deputy President

Honorable directors, student officers, esteemed delegates, and distinguished guests, As the shortest ever student officer (I think I am — still waiting for official verification), it is an absolute honor to serve as your Assistant Chair at this esteemed conference. My name is Avery Hung, and I’m an 8th grader at Yew Chung International School of Beijing. Believe it or not, my MUN journey began at the start of this year, and I haven’t looked back since. Starting MUN was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made — it gives me an excuse to dress fancy. I promise that you’ll meet some amazing people and find something you genuinely enjoy in MUN — whether it's debating, resolution-writing, or just figuring out how to pass notes or use AI without getting caught. This is only my fifth conference overall, and my first time chairing, so please go easy on me. I genuinely look forward to assisting and getting to know all the delegates in my committee. If you run into any trouble, have questions, or just need someone to hype up your opening speech, I’m your man. You can reach me at avery.hung2017@ycis.com, or averykhung@gmail.com. I’ll do everything I can to make sure this is a good experience for all of y'all. I can’t wait to see what you all bring to the table — literally and diplomatically. Let’s make this conference one to remember. And who knows… if your speeches are good enough, I might just bribe you with snacks or naicha. (No promises though) See you soon!

Kaden Fei

President

Hello! I am Kaden Fei, a junior at Dulwich College Beijing, and it will be my honor to serve as your president for the World Health Assembly. My MUN journey began in 2023 as a delegate in the World Health Assembly. I remember being the nervous delegate, not knowing what to say or do. The same thing happened when I first started chairing, which also happened to be the World Health Assembly. WHA is a committee I hold close to my heart,     but it also made MUN vital to me. I wish to create the same experience for my delegates. See you all soon! Kind regards, Kaden Fei

Security Council

SC

Topics:

  1. Disarmament of Militant Forces in Myanmar

  2. Addressing the implications of autonomous weapons and artificial intelligence in modern warfare

Zixuan (Sean) Chai

President

Greetings delegates of the BEIMUN Jr. Security Council, It is my great honor to serve as the president for this year’s BEIMUN Jr. Security Council. I am Zixuan (Sean) Chai, a junior at Beijing World Youth Academy. In the past few years, MUN has contributed immensely to my personal development – though I am not going to elaborate as I’m pretty sure the other chair blurbs would address this. What is equally important is how MUN is a peak into how human civilization operates. We often think of it as a privilege to live in such an interconnected world. Though our interconnectedness has become a double-edged sword. Any action, while seemingly insignificant could have widespread and long-lasting effects. As the conference approaches, I hope all of you would think critically and reflect deeply on how your resolutions and ideas could drive positive and meaningful change. I look forward to seeing you all in November!
Jaehyun Lee

Jaehyun Lee

Deputy President

Hello delegates! I’m JJ, or Yijae Lee, and I’ll be your Deputy President this year at BEIMUN Jr, focusing on the topic: Addressing the Implications of Autonomous Weapons and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Modern Warfare. I’ve been doing MUN for two years now, and the Security Council has always been my favorite—it’s fast-paced, dramatic, and dives deep into the complexities of global security. I’m currently in Grade 9/Year 10 at the International School of Beijing, this year’s host school. When I’m not drafting amendments or moderating debates, you’ll probably find me buried under a mountain of math homework or some volleyball videos. I can’t wait to see what creative solutions—and a little chaos—you all bring to committee! Sincerely, JJ
